Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom

FLARE-UP Grease flare-ups High Sudden tall flames shoot up from below, often burning food or creating smoke. View GAS-SMELL Gas leak detected High Propane and natural gas contain mercaptan, an additive with a distinct rotten egg or sulfur odor. Any detection of this smell warrants immediate action. View LOW-FLAME Weak or low flame Medium Flames are noticeably lower than normal, even at the highest knob setting. View NO-GAS No gas reaching burners High Turning the burner knob to the ignite position produces no hiss of gas flow. View NO-IGN Burner won't ignite High Turning the knob and pressing the igniter produces no flame. Gas may or may not be audible. View UNEVEN-HT Uneven grill heating Medium Food cooks faster or burns on one side of the grill while remaining undercooked on the other. View YELLOW-FL Yellow or orange flame High Flames appear yellow-orange instead of the correct crisp blue with small yellow tips. View
