Code Appliance Meaning Severity
CHILD-LK Cooktop Child safety lock is active. All cooktop controls are locked to prevent accidental activation by children. The cooktop will not respond to any touch input until the lock is deactivated. This is a safety feature, not a malfunction — the cooktop is functioning as designed. Low View details → E1 Cooktop Pan detection sensor error. The induction cooktop cannot detect a compatible pan on the cooking zone, or the pan detection sensor itself has malfunctioned. Medium View details → E2 Cooktop Overtemperature protection activated. The cooktop surface or internal electronics have exceeded the maximum safe temperature and the unit has shut down to prevent damage. High View details → E3 Cooktop Induction coil overtemperature detected. The coil beneath the cooking zone has exceeded its safe operating threshold. The affected zone shuts down automatically to prevent damage. Usually caused by blocked ventilation underneath the cooktop or extended high-power cooking sessions. High View details → E4 Cooktop Power supply voltage is outside the acceptable range for safe induction operation. The cooktop has detected an overvoltage or undervoltage condition on the incoming electrical supply, which can damage sensitive induction electronics or produce inconsistent heating performance. High View details → E5 Cooktop Internal electronics communication failure. The control board and induction power module are not communicating correctly. This may be caused by a power surge, a loose internal ribbon cable, or a component failure on either board. High View details → E6 Cooktop Zone power delivery fault. The induction coil is receiving power but not producing the expected magnetic field strength. This typically indicates a failing induction coil, a damaged power transistor (IGBT), or a mismatch between the commanded and actual power output. High View details → E1 Dishwasher Water fill/supply fault. Similar to i10, this code appears on some Viking dishwasher models when the unit cannot fill with water within the allowed time. High View details → E4 Dishwasher Overflow or flood protection fault detected. Water level has exceeded safe limits and the machine has shut down. Turn off the water supply immediately and check for a faulty inlet valve or float switch. High View details → i10 Dishwasher Water inlet fault — the dishwasher is not filling correctly within the expected time. Check that the water supply valve is fully open and the inlet hose is unkinked before calling for service. High View details →
